Finally got to get the season started last night at Jefferson Speedway. Its always been tough competition no matter what. Last night we had 20 cars, but only 19 qualified.
I was able to qualify 6th overall. Finished 3rd in my heat race and 5th in the feature.
The car was good, but needed to free up more. Just could not get it there. But, I was happy to get back on the track and get things going for the year.
We will be at Madison International Speedway on Friday with the Midwest Dash Series and if all goes well, we will also head to State Park Speedway on Saturday for their season opener.
Going to work on the car to get ready for this weekend and repair the body damage we took. Its part of the game.
Can’t thank Ken Perry, Rebecca Petitt, and Keith Bell for any and all help in the pits. The wife Heather Dewey for the support and helping out every chance she can. Wayne, Lisa, James and everyone else when they can at the shop.
